Reposting my 5 from last week since I missed the Link Up!
Yayyy it's Friday! My week really just raced by. Jeff and I are heading out to my favorite Italian restaurant tomorrow night, Roman Cucina. Can you say carb overload!? I literally cannot wait for a pasta and wine night. We definitely need it. Is that weird that I base my weekends around what I am going to eat on my cheat day? Oh well, it's what helps me stick to my diet all week long. I'm also going to make these coconut macaroons that Shay from Mix & Match Mama posted about earlier this week! Coconut is my fave. Here are five things I am currently loving!

Make things happen!
I have been thinking a lot lately about what I see myself doing in the future. I'm constantly praying for God's help to find my path and guide me. I have finally decided to take a step forward and do something that I have always wanted to do. I am still in the very early stages of everything, but am very, very excited about it. More details to come, but I will say that I will be utilizing my business degree as well as my passion for weddings and brides! Any words of encouragement, ideas, or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Bella Espresso Maker
I picked up this beauty from a Target run earlier this week. I decided I am going to try to save time/money in the mornings by not hitting Starbucks so often. This was only $39.99, and I usually spend about $20 every 2 weeks at Starbucks. So, I am thinking that this little investment will really pay off! I usually get an Americano, so I have been boiling the water with my teapot and making my own. It is so quick and efficient and easy to clean. I also picked up the Tazo Tea Chai Tea K Cups, because Chai Tea Lattes (with heavy cream instead of milk...no dairy on my diet) are my other go to. Now I will have no reason to go. Let's see how long I can last!
I also came home from Target with this swimsuit top. It is really more coral in color than orange. I love mixing and matching my swimsuits, I plan on wearing this with my white bottoms. Can't beat $17.99!

Yay for a sunny weekend!! I can't wait to lay out by the pool this weekend for the first time since last summer. This is perfect timing, because there aren't too many people out there already. Since I'm from Bakersfield, I love the heat. On an average summer day, the temps are 100+. So low 70's is still a little chili for me, since my perfect summer weather is 90!

I'm really trying to focus on this during lent!
Hope everyone has an amazing weekend!
HAPPY FRIDAY! This has been a whirlwind of a week for me. I've had that feeling where it feels like you are going to get sick. I'm feeling much better but Jeff is getting sick as well. He's mostly just stuffy so hopefully it clears up soon. We are going to have a nice, relaxing week of doing absolutely nothing. The weather has been a complete turnaround from last weekend, so I am hoping we can spend some time outside tomorrow. Here's my 5!!

SUGAR PAPER CONFETTI MONOGRAM
I am OBSESSED with this stationery from Sugar Paper LA! I first found out about Sugar Paper buy purchasing a planner from their line for Target! It also has the gold foil, which I love. They have so much other stuff on the site, ranging from notepads to the cutest wrapping paper. I love the monogram, I love gold foil, I love turquoise, I love everything about this.
Check out these Thank You cards!! Are they not the cutest things ever?!?! The envelope lining...I die.

SELFIES WITH GIRLFRIENDS!
So happy I got to meet up with my girlfriends, Mary and Mary last night! Mary 1 (brunette) has been my really good friend since high school. She went to college in Arizona and I went to San Diego. Eventually, we ended up working together in Newport. Mary 2 (blonde) and I met at work. The three of us used to work together and get to see each other every day. Since Mary 2 and I left the company about 8 months ago, we have been having a hard time with our schedules. Everyone gets so busy and it can be hard to make time. But it is so important for me to keep my girl time! We had a blast and laughed the entire night.

CALLIGRAPHY WORKSHOPS
Blue Eye Brown Eye + DesignLoveFest Calligraphy Workshop! Ugh I would DIE to be in one of these classes. It looks like most of them are already sold out. They are a little pricey, about $170 for a 3.5 hour workshop. I think it would totally be worth it. Once you learn the basics, they also have an advanced class. I love the look of calligraphy, I'm not sure if I would necessarily be great at it, but I would LOVE to learn. There are several other classes, although looking through the images of the classroom on this site...to die for. Here are some other classes, you can google it in your area and find many more I'm sure. I am going to start with a kit and hopefully get to a class soon. I'll update with my progress!
Laura Hooper Calligraphy Workshop; $225 for 3 hour class. Includes all supplies. Classes are held in the LA Area, San Fran, Seattle, Brooklyn, Austin, & Dallas!
Plurabelle Calligraphy; at Urbanic Paper in Venice. $125 for a 3 hour class, includes supplies and treats.
Maybelle Imasa-Stukuls; so much variety on the locations. You can take a class literally across the world. Workshops are held in Singapore, Tokyo, Australia, Brooklyn, San Fran, and LA. Workshops are $110 for 2 hours.
Soceity for Calligraphy of Southern California; this is definitely the most cost conscious choice. They hold FREE lectures and demos. They start at $20 for a 4-hour "mini-workshop" and it includes lunch! Can't get much better than that. They also hold one day and two day workshops, but they are reserved for members only. Check out all the info on their site.
Deann Singh Calligraphy; offers private lessons at her home in Los Angeles. One on one private lessons, or schedule it for a group of your friends. She only charges $35/hr for up to two students, or $50/hr for 3 or more (total, not per person).

Jesus Calling - Enjoying Peace in His Presence - Devotions for Every Day of the Year. This is the book that my mom gave me. It has a prayer a day for every day of the year. So, I have decided not to give anything up for Lent, but instead to read a prayer every day. Also, I am going to pay more attention in church and try to put the sermon into action in my life. Sometimes I feel like I just go to church and go through the motions, my mind wandering to what I am going to eat for dinner or a new pair of shoes that I want. I am going to focus and apply!!

Kate Spade two of a kind his & hers
I want. So bad. Would these not be the cutest addition to a bar cart!? Jeff says I can't get a bar cart until we move until a bigger place. I know he is right, we wouldn't even have anywhere to put it in our tiny apartment now. But still, I can't get over the idea. I love them and these glasses are just PERFECT!! Of course, what does Kate Spade make that isn't!

Tarte Amazonian Clay Waterproof Brow Mousse
I LOVE THIS PRODUCT!! I started using it about a month ago after I realized that my brows were in need of some deep TLC. It comes in 3 shades: taupe, medium brown, and dark brown. I have dark features and black eyebrows, but use the medium brown. My advice would be to go a shade lighter to make them look more natural. I tried using pencils before this, but they don't even compare. It makes your brows look so natural. I purchased mine from Amazon, but you can also buy it on the Tarte site here. It is a little pricey at $28.00 for .10 oz, but like I said I have had mine for about a month now and you can barely even tell I have used any. You definitely don't need much to make a large impact.
2.
Steve Madden 'Marlenee' Sandal
I ordered these last week and CANNOT WAIT to break them out. They are a perfect addition to any spring wardrobe and also are the perfect not-to-short not-to-tall heel height. And a plus, they are 50% off at Nordy's!!! I ordered them in black also, but half size smaller (all they had in stock). Unfortunately, they were too small and toes hanging off the end of a sandal isn't the most flattering... :( They don't have as many sizes left at Nordstrom, but they have a ton of colors/sizes on the Steve Madden site. They are a little pricier there, too pricey for me. I guess I will have to wait for a sale!
3.
This is definitely one of my favorite gifts that I got Tate for her birthday! I started out ordering this and one other suit from Nordy's. Then, I went to Kohls and got her the CUTEST little striped romper and a suit & coverup with pink gingham and strawberries. All so cute, but this one definitely stuck out as my fave!
4.
My Cutesy Desk
Love my orchid and Anthropologie mug! Mine is the gold special edition but the black is available on the site. My monogram was a free printable from ForChicSake. They have SO many adorable printable on the site, I love it. Frames and planner are from Target!

How is everyone doing with their New Year's resolutions? I found this list in January, and realized that it was fairly accurate! I know there are still plenty of things that I need to work on. I have been successful with the health aspect to this point, but am currently trying to focus on gratitude and listening. With lent just around the corner, I am trying my hardest to become the best possible on the inside (of course while working on the outside as well)!
HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!
